Gremlins After Midnight

Gremlins After Midnight

Gremlins After Midnight brings the cult movie favourite back for a mischievous night on the reels, with Gizmo and the Gremlins playing more than just a starring role in the artwork. Light & Wonder has worked the characters directly into the features, mixing Fuzz Balls, Chicken Buckets and Mystery Stacked Reels into a medium-high volatility pokie that gets increasingly chaotic as its modifiers come together.

The action starts on 5 reels with 20 paylines, where Mystery Stacked Reels can transform before wins are calculated. Fuzz Balls arrive carrying cash values, and Gizmo can jump in to add another 2–5 of them to the reels. These cash symbols can also trigger an Instant Win, where up to three boxes collect the Fuzz Ball values on screen. The more boxes involved, the more interesting things can get as each box builds on the value collected before it.

The real mayhem comes from the Hold & Spin feature and its three coloured Chicken Buckets. Orange activates More Money, increasing existing Fuzz Ball values; Purple brings Mini, Minor, Major and Grand jackpots into play; and Green expands the grid from 5×3 all the way to 5×6. Better still, these modifiers can work together, so a relatively simple Hold & Spin can develop into a much bigger feature as upgrades pile up. New Fuzz Balls and modifiers can also reset the three-spin counter.

Interestingly, there’s no traditional Free Spins round here. Instead, the focus stays on cash collection, expanding reels, jackpots and the evolving Hold & Spin bonus. With multiple RTP settings topping out at 96%, medium-high volatility and plenty of interaction between Gizmo and the different Gremlins-inspired features, Gremlins After Midnight offers more than just nostalgia for fans of the films.
